Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ, who previously stated "I know how Engin Polat got released from prison. Unfortunately, I cannot write about it," has made a new statement regarding his release in the money laundering case. Özdağ, during a live broadcast, said, "Before this decision was made, a friend of mine coincidentally overheard a conversation between two politicians and the content of the conversation. There was a discussion between two individuals, a negotiation took place, and an amount was mentioned. I know what they talked about."

Ümit Özdağ, the leader of the Victory Party, who made a statement about the release of Engin Polat, who was accused of money laundering, from prison, clarified his words in a live broadcast. Özdağ said, "I know how he got out of prison. Unfortunately, I can't write it."

ÖZDAĞ TO ENGİN POLAT: I KNOW HOW YOU GOT OUT OF PRISON, BUT I CAN'T WRITE IT

Engin Polat, who was tried for money laundering and tax evasion, appeared before the judge the other day. Along with Engin Polat, other detained defendants Engin Polat, Sezgin Polat, Alper Kürşat Polat, and accountant Ahmet Gün were released. While the echoes of the decision continue, Ümit Özdağ, the leader of the Victory Party, said in a post on his social media account, "I know how he got out of prison. Unfortunately, I can't write it."

"A FRIEND OF MINE ACCIDENTALLY LISTENED TO THE CONVERSATION BETWEEN TWO POLITICIANS"

While wondering what Özdağ knows, he clarified his words in a broadcast on Sözcü TV. Özdağ claimed that there was a negotiation between two politicians in the conversation and did not give any names. Özdağ said the following: "As a transparent politician, I often share what I know with the public. If it is related to national security, I will not share it and I also say that I will not share it. Before this decision was made, a friend of mine accidentally listened to the conversation between two politicians and conveyed the content of the conversation to me in writing."

"SHARING IT WILL RESULT IN BOTH POLITICIANS DENYING IT"

I also consulted with lawyers by saying, 'Can I share this?' They expressed that it would be legally problematic for me to share it. That's why I said, 'I know how it happened, but I can't share it.' Sharing it will result in both politicians denying it. In this respect, it is not legally correct to share it.

"THERE WAS A NEGOTIATION, AN AMOUNT WAS MENTIONED"

A very respectable female lawyer tweeted in line with my sharing. I called her and explained what happened and asked, 'If I share it, will you defend me?' She said, 'I won't even come close.' There was a conversation between two people, there was a negotiation, and an amount was mentioned. This is the information I received. Those who had this conversation should know that I know what they talked about.
