As the Africa Cup of Nations approaches, an unprecedented crisis has erupted within the Cameroon National Team. The disagreement between Federation President Samuel Eto'o and head coach Marc Brys escalated to the point where the country's sports ministry had to intervene.

ETO'O DISMISSED HIM, BRYS SAID "I DON'T RECOGNIZE IT"

According to Actu Cameroun, Cameroon Football Federation President Samuel Eto'o dismissed head coach Marc Brys. However, Brys did not take the termination notice sent by the federation seriously.

The experienced coach refused to step down, stating, "I was appointed by the ministry, not the federation. This notice is invalid." Severing ties with the federation, Brys was preparing to announce his squad while continuing preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations.

ETO'O BROUGHT IN ANOTHER COACH

As the crisis escalated, Eto'o appointed a new head coach without considering Marc Brys. The newly appointed David Pagou prepared a completely different squad list from that of Brys. The situation of having two "authorized" coaches at the same time created significant chaos in Cameroon.

THE MINISTRY PUT AN END TO IT

As Brys refused to back down, Eto'o contacted the Cameroon Ministry of Sports. The ministry intervened, officially announcing that Marc Brys had been dismissed and approving the federation's decision. In the ongoing chaos, the final squad list for the Africa Cup of Nations will be announced tomorrow.

ONANA AND ABOUBAKAR SHOCK

The crisis did not remain at the coaching level alone. The omission of Trabzonspor goalkeeper Andre Onana and former Beşiktaş striker Vincent Aboubakar from the list ignited a new debate in Cameroon. The exclusion of the two stars has led to comments in the country that "a new crisis is emerging."
