"Unprecedented protest from Galatasaray to TFF"

There is a tension between Galatasaray and the Turkish Football Federation regarding Yunus Akgün. A war has practically broken out between the yellow-red club and the federation. Cimbom's president, Dursun Özbek, reacted to the President of the Turkish Football Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, and declined his invitation.

DESPITE THE REQUEST NOT TO REFER, HE WAS REFERRED

According to the news from Haluk Yürekli of Sports Night Digital; Galatasaray's Vice President Metin Öztürk went to the TFF yesterday afternoon and met with President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu. Öztürk conveyed that Yunus Akgün should not be referred to the PFDK, stating that his post did not warrant a referral. However, Yunus Akgün was referred to the PFDK in the evening.

DURSUN ÖZBEK PROTESTED THE TFF PRESIDENT

Following this development, Galatasaray decided to protest the TFF. UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin came to Istanbul for the Galatasaray - Elfsborg match. İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu invited all Super League club presidents to a dinner with Čeferin. Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek protested against Hacıosmanoğlu's attitude towards Galatasaray, its coach Okan Buruk, and its players, and did not attend this dinner. It was also reported that TFF President Hacıosmanoğlu would be in the stands with Čeferin during Galatasaray's match against Elfsborg.

After Galatasaray defeated Antalyaspor 3-0 in the 9th week of the Super League, Yunus Akgün made a striking post on his social media account. The star footballer shared the joy of scoring a goal with his teammates with his followers, and it was claimed that the music playing in the background contained lyrics directed at Beşiktaş. It was also alleged that the black-and-white team would complain about Yunus to the TFF on Tuesday, October 22, when the PFDK referrals would be made. Later, it was announced that the 24-year-old footballer was referred to the PFDK due to the gesture in his post.
