An indictment has been prepared for 7 suspects, members of the Daltonlar criminal organization, who threatened Ali Onur Atar, the head of the Istanbul 16th Heavy Penal Court presiding over the Barış Boyun case, and his brother via international lines, seeking prison sentences ranging from 6 to 27.5 years.
In the indictment prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that an investigation was initiated after threatening messages were sent via overseas lines by members of the armed criminal organization to the President of the Court, Ali Onur Atar, and his brother Umut Atar, following the decision of the Istanbul 16th Heavy Penal Court on December 22, 2025, in the trial regarding the Daltonlar criminal organization led by Barış Boyun.
THREATENED FROM FOREIGN PHONE NUMBERS
The indictment reported that, in the message records submitted to the police by Court President Ali Onur Atar and his brother Umut Atar, it was found that threatening messages were sent from foreign phone numbers.
In the indictment, it was stated that during the investigations regarding the foreign lines, it was understood that the line in question was opened by Eren Kemal Büyükgümüş, the owner of a workplace named S**** İletişim in Bayrampaşa, and the suspect was taken into custody on December 24, 2025. It was noted that during a search of the workplace, numerous lines belonging to foreign countries and the foreign line that sent messages to Umut Atar were seized.
The indictment, which stated that the armed criminal organization members threatened to kill the court president, who serves on behalf of the Republic of Turkey, and his family, claiming that the sentences given to the tried organization members were allegedly unfair and excessive, also included information that the suspect who sent the threatening message to Court President Ali Onur Atar was Mustafa Aktürk, the fugitive organization leader in Georgia.
The indictment, which reported that suspect Aktürk was also the planner and instigator of the murder of lawyer Serdar Öktem, stated that the user of the line that sent messages to the complainant Umut Atar was the fugitive organization member Erkan Efe, and that this suspect was also one of the planners and instigators of many actions.
The indictment noted that in the correspondence evaluated to be with suspect Erkan Efe, suspect Eren Kemal Büyükgümüş openly declared his allegiance to the organization, stated that he knew the suspects Batın Can Gökdemir and Beratcan Gökdemir, and constantly asked if they had any requests. Subsequently, upon the suspects requesting a foreign GSM line and phone, there were correspondences indicating that he sent a mobile phone containing a foreign line to the requested location.
