Turkish Air Force killed 17 PKK terrorists in ongoing airstrikes in southeastern Sirnak province within the last 24 hours, the military announced on Thursday.
According to the Turkish General Staff, one terrorist was killed and another was captured in the province's northern Bestler-Dereler region on Thursday.
Separately, three other PKK terrorists were killed in the early hours of Thursday.
Also, 13 terrorists were killed in the same area on Wednesday.
More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015. -
