The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken informed his counterparts from G7 countries during a teleconference that an attack by Iran and Hezbollah against Israel could start as early as today. This information was reported by Walla today, based on three knowledgeable sources. The purpose of the meeting was claimed to be coordinating the closest allies of the US and making last-minute diplomatic efforts to minimize retaliatory actions by Iran and Hezbollah. Additionally, on Sunday, three US and Israeli officials told Axios reporter Barak Ravid that the attack could take place today. An Israeli official also told CBS News that while the majority of Iran's attack on April 13 was prevented, Israel expects a "more aggressive" retaliation this time. Sources told Walla that Blinken believed during the meeting that the US expects retaliation from Iran and Hezbollah, but unlike the April 13 attack, the possible scenarios are less clear. Blinken reportedly emphasized that the US does not know the exact timing of the attacks but highlighted that they could start within the next 24-48 hours, starting from Monday, according to Walla's sources. In the April 13 attack, Israel successfully prevented Iran's unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles with the assistance of the US, UK, France, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. The coalition successfully intercepted 99% of the missiles.
