The stock market opened higher on Wednesday before the release of the U.S. Federal Reserve's minutes that may give clues about whether the central bank would raise interest rates next month.
The Dow added 6 points to begin trading at 20,944 and the S&P 500 rose 2 points to reach 2,401.
The Nasdaq increased by 13 points to start the day at 6,152 points.
Markets and investors have their eyes on the Fed's minutes from its meeting in May that will be released at 1800 GMT. -
