VAKIFBANK EASILY WON THE FIRST SET
The match started with mutual attacks in the first set. While VakıfBank's Boskovic and Markova were effective, Fenerbahçe Medicana did not allow the gap to widen too much. When the yellow-black team took a 12-9 lead, Fenerbahçe Medicana's Head Coach Marcello Abbondanza called a timeout. VakıfBank was effective with Zehra Güneş's blocks, while the yellow-blue team struggled to receive serves. In the final part, the visiting team took control of the game and finished the first set 25-18 ahead.
FENERBAHÇE'S EFFORT WAS NOT ENOUGH
The second set started competitively. VakıfBank's 4-point streak was answered by the yellow-blue team with Fedorovtseva's powerful attacks, bringing the score to a tie: 7-7. With mutual points and long rallies, Fenerbahçe Medicana took a 20-19 lead with Vargas's point, prompting the yellow-black team to call a timeout. Returning well from the timeout, VakıfBank also won this set 25-23, taking a 2-0 lead.
VAKIFBANK WAS ALSO EFFECTIVE IN THE THIRD SET
VakifBank started the third set well. As Fenerbahçe Medicana regrouped during the set, there was tension on the court after the yellow-blue team's objection to a play. Following the tension, VakıfBank's Head Coach Giovanni Guidetti and setter Cansu Özbay received red cards. During Zehra Güneş's serving turn, the yellow-black team achieved a 4-point streak and took a 17-12 lead. Continuing their dominant performance, VakıfBank won this set 25-21, leaving the match with a 3-0 victory.

With this result, the yellow-black team took a 1-0 lead in the series. The team that reaches three victories will complete the 2025-2026 season as champions, and the second match of the series will be played on April 11, Saturday, hosted by VakıfBank at the Vakıfbank Sports Palace.
