Video that will put Minister Tekin in a difficult situation, calling the registration fee a "City legend"

A video has been shared that will reignite the "registration fee" debate, which the Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, referred to as an "urban legend". A citizen who went to register his child at a public school stated in the video that he was asked for a registration fee under the name of donation, saying, "We are citizens of the great Republic of Turkey. Are we supposed to pay money when registering at a public school?" expressing his reaction.

"I SAID NO, I DIDN'T GIVE IT"

In continuation of his statement, the citizen mentioned that a paper containing IBAN information was handed to him, saying, "They said I should make a donation to the school. They said the school needs it. I said no, I didn't give it. You shouldn't give it either," he said.

WHAT DID MINISTER TEKIN SAY?

In his statement regarding the registration fees requested in public schools, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin stated the following: "I am saying this persistently in every environment. If a school administrator makes a request to the school under the name of 'registration fee', they are engaging in illegal activity. If we become aware of it, we will make the necessary warnings, but this has turned into an urban legend."
