Galatasaray provided important information to its fans ahead of the away match against Lille in the UEFA Champions League, regarding the gathering area, departure time, transportation to the area, and body searches. The yellow-and-red club stated that its fans are banned from entering stands other than the away stand.
In the 3rd week of the UEFA Champions League, Galatasaray, preparing to be a guest of the French representative Lille, addressed the yellow-and-red football fans who will take their place in the away stand.
MEETING AREA AND DEPARTURE TIME
In the announcement made by the yellow-and-red club, it was reported that the stadium gates will open to fans as of 16.45 local time. According to the plan prepared in coordination with French police and club officials, Grand'Place Lille was designated as the main meeting point for the fans. It was emphasized with importance that the yellow-and-red supporters, who will gather in this area, must depart from the Rihour Metro Stop near Grand'Place by 15.45 at the latest.
TRANSPORT TO THE AREA AND SECURITY SEARCH
It was noted that the fans, who will get off at the 4 Cantons Metro Stop after the metro journey, can reach the stadium complex after a walk of approximately 15 minutes. While it was stated that security measures will be kept at a high level before the match, it was conveyed that comprehensive security searches and detailed ticket checks will be applied to all fans at the stadium entrance.
ENTRY PROHIBITED OUTSIDE THE AWAY STAND
The Galatasaray management announced that, in order to avoid any grievance or security breach at the organization in France, fans will be admitted only through the special gates allocated to them, and that their entry into any sector other than the away stand is strictly prohibited.
