Due to the ongoing drought, the water levels in the reservoirs that supply the water needs of the mega city Istanbul continue to decline. According to the data on the website of the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the filling rate of 10 reservoirs was measured at 30.46. The Kazandere and Papuçdere reservoirs, located in the Vize district of Kırklareli and supplying Istanbul's water needs, have dried up, with water levels dropping to around 8%. The latest filling rates of the reservoirs in Istanbul are measured as follows: 34.14% in Istrancalar, 40.67% in Terkos, 41.93% in Sazlıdere, 6.07% in Alibey, 32.46% in Büyükçekmece, 26.83% in Ömerli, 32.24% in Darlık, 51.93% in Elmalı, 8.27% in Kazandere, and 7.95% in Papuçdere. THE WATER LEVELS IN THE RESERVOIRS OF EDİRNE AND TEKİRDAĞ HAVE ALSO DROPPEDIn Edirne, Kırklareli, and Tekirdağ, a decrease has been observed in the filling rates of 14 reservoirs with a total storage capacity of 1 billion 112 million 968 thousand cubic meters. The filling rate of the reservoirs, which was around 40% last August, has decreased to 36%. According to the latest data, the filling rate of 6 reservoirs in Edirne is recorded at 154 million 121 thousand cubic meters, 4 reservoirs in Kırklareli at 95 million 111 thousand cubic meters, and 4 reservoirs in Tekirdağ at 156 million 70 thousand cubic meters.
