A wedding, a funeral, and a hospital were targeted in suicide attacks in Borno state, Nigeria. As a result of the attacks, 18 people, including children and pregnant women, lost their lives, while 30 others were injured.

BACK-TO-BACK ATTACKS

Back-to-back suicide attacks were carried out in Nigeria. In the town of Gwoza in the northeastern state of Borno, 18 people were killed and 30 others were injured in suicide attacks at a wedding, funeral, and hospital. Authorities are focusing on the fact that the suicide attacks were carried out by women.

CHILDREN AND PREGNANT WOMEN AMONG THE DEAD

Barkindo Saidu, the Director of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency, stated that children and pregnant women were among the dead. No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks yet.
