In the Narlıdere district of İzmir, a disaster was narrowly averted in two incidents that occurred 18 days apart at a school. Both incidents happened due to irresponsible drivers; in the first, students and parents were injured, while in the second incident, 2 children and 2 parents were saved at the last moment. The accident occurred on October 18 at around 5:30 PM on Tuna Street in the Çatalkaya neighborhood. A car without a handbrake moved and broke through the garden gate of the private school. At that moment, 2 children and 2 parents in front of the school were saved by the warning of a teacher who ran out from inside. ACCIDENT ON CAMERAMeanwhile, the accident was captured by the security camera of a business. The footage showed the teacher running to warn the 2 children and 2 parents in front of the school's entrance gate. While the 4 people were saved at the last moment, the car broke through the wall of the school garden and the panic moments experienced by those around were also recorded by the camera. A SIMILAR ACCIDENT OCCURRED 18 DAYS AGOOn October 1, a car with an unknown license plate, driven by S.Ç.A. (43), broke through the garden gate of the school after the driver lost control of the steering wheel, hitting 6-year-old K.A.A. and student parents H.Y. (41) and G.G.Ş. (40), causing injuries. While the injured individuals were not in life-threatening condition, the broken garden gate and wall were repaired by the staff.
