After the elections, independent MP Yüksel Arslan, who resigned from the İYİ Party, made comments on his X account targeting the CHP and İBB President İmamoğlu without naming them.

Arslan, who wrote, "Those who are hand in hand with the enemies of the founding will and the principles established by Atatürk cannot be 'Mustafa Kemal's soldiers,'" claimed that some politicians are "opening doors to European capitals" to climb the career ladder without naming anyone, and stated, "Those whose only concern is their own career and to walk the path drawn for them are called 'Project Children,' not 'Mustafa Kemal's soldiers.'

ABB President Mansur Yavaş also reacted to Arslan's words, which caused a strong backlash. Yavaş stated on social media, "I want it to be known that I do not approve of the statements made by independent MP Mr. Arslan and the text he published. It should also be well known that such statements do not fit my style of politics. My advice to him is to delete this tweet," he wrote.

ARSALAN'S RESIGNATION STATEMENT

Yüksel Arslan, who previously served as Yavaş's chief of staff, announced that he would resign from the presidency of ASKİ Sports Club in response to Yavaş's reaction. In a statement to journalist Gürkan Hacır, Arslan said, "Mr. Mansur definitely has no knowledge of this post. I did not mean İmamoğlu. But I see that it is understood that way. I never intend to harm Mansur brother. But it seems that I am causing harm, even if unintentionally. Therefore, I will also leave the presidency of ASKİ Sports Club on Monday morning."
