KILIÇDAROĞLU CALLS FOR "COURT DECISION TO BE IMPLEMENTED"
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who is said to have returned to the CHP chairmanship with the decision, called for "the court decision to be implemented." Following claims that the Ankara Governorship ordered the police to "evacuate," it was discussed that police teams moved to clear the CHP headquarters.

WHY DID HER TERM END?
Canan Kaftancıoğlu's term as CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair ended after the prison sentence and political ban imposed on her were finalized. The Court of Cassation upheld some convictions against Kaftancıoğlu in 2022, and following this decision, her political party membership was revoked under Article 53 of the Turkish Penal Code. With the termination of her party membership, her position as CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair was also officially terminated.
