05.11.2024 01:00

As the hours count down to the U.S. elections, which many experts have described as the "most unpredictable election," the latest poll results have come in. According to the average of the last 14 polls, Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump both have 48.5% of the vote.

According to the results of a nationwide survey in the United States, the fact that Harris and Trump are closely matched throughout the election campaign process indicates that the 2024 elections are "one of the hardest elections to predict."

POLLING SHOWS BOTH CANDIDATES TIED

As the countdown to the 60th presidential election, scheduled for November 5 in the U.S., comes to an end, national polls indicate that Harris and Trump are neck and neck. According to the average of the last 14 polls published on the news portal Real Clear Politics (RCP), which compiles national surveys, both Harris and Trump have 48.5% support.

ONE OF THE HARDEST ELECTIONS TO PREDICT

The fact that the two candidates, who have been closely matched throughout the election campaign process, are entering the election neck and neck shows many experts that the 2024 elections are "one of the hardest elections to predict." In the mentioned polls, NBC News, New York Post, Emerson, and New York Times show the two rivals tied, while outlets like Reuters and Forbes indicate that Harris is slightly ahead, and polls from Wall Street Journal and CNBC show Trump slightly leading.

TRUMP HAS A SLIGHT ADVANTAGE IN SWING STATES

On the other hand, in the 7 swing states that will determine the fate of the elections, where candidates will try to reach 270 delegates, Trump is leading in 5 states, while Harris is slightly ahead in 2. Accordingly, Trump is leading by 0.3 points in Pennsylvania, 1.7 points in Georgia, 1.5 points in North Carolina, 2.7 points in Arizona, and 1 point in Nevada. Harris, on the other hand, is ahead of Trump by 1.2 points in Michigan and 0.4 points in Wisconsin.

THE WINNING CANDIDATE WILL BE THE 47TH PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.

The candidate who wins the 60th presidential election, considered one of the most critical U.S. presidential elections in recent times, will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on January 20, 2025.
