The Ministry of Interior appointed trustees to the municipalities of Batman, Mardin, and Halfeti following Esenyurt. After the trustee decisions, active days are being experienced in the political world.

İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu requested an appointment from the leaders of political parties present in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) to discuss various current issues, primarily the trustee decisions. İmamoğlu also conveyed his appointment request to TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş and will hold a series of meetings with parties other than the AK Party.

There was curiosity about the response of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli to İmamoğlu's meeting request. After his party's group meeting, Bahçeli answered questions from journalists.

"I DO NOT APPROVE EKREM BEY'S POLITICS"

In response to the question, "Will you have a response to Ekrem İmamoğlu's appointment request?" Bahçeli replied:

"I do not know the purpose of his appointment request. However, since I do not approve of Ekrem İmamoğlu Bey's politics, I do not find it appropriate to meet with him. Because they may want to involve the MHP in some developments in Turkey through exploitation and misinterpretations from this meeting. We must be more careful."
