As Israel's airstrikes on Lebanon continue since September 23, U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) Spokesperson Sabrina Singh stated that a ground operation by Israel against Lebanon is not expected in the near future. "WE WANT A SOLUTION TO PREVENT WAR"In her statement, Singh said, "We absolutely do not want any steps that could lead to further escalation of tensions in the region. We want to see a solution that will prevent a diplomatic and total war." Singh also added that the U.S. is not providing intelligence support to Israel in its attacks on Lebanon.
