The new minimum wage for 2025 has been announced as 22,104 lira. Following the determination of the minimum wage, some fee schedules have been increased. Accordingly, the new fees to be paid to mediators and experts have also been determined.
According to the 2025 Mediator Minimum Wage Schedule published in the Official Gazette, in family law, labor/employer, and consumer disputes, if there are 2 parties, the fee will be 785 lira per hour per party; if there are 3-5 parties, the fee will be 1,650 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties; if there are 6-10 parties, the fee will be 1,750 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties; and if there are 11 or more parties, the fee will be 1,850 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties.
In commercial disputes where there are 2 parties, the hourly fee will be 1,150 lira. For disputes with 3-5 parties, the fee will be 2,350 lira; for 6-10 parties, it will be 2,450 lira; and for 11 or more parties, it will be 2,550 lira.
MEDIATOR FEES IN RENTAL DISPUTES START AT 835 LIRA
In disputes arising from rental agreements, neighbor rights, and the Condominium Law, if there are 2 parties, the fee will be 835 lira per hour per party; if there are 3-5 parties, the fee will be 1,750 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties; if there are 6-10 parties, the fee will be 1,850 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties; and if there are 11 or more parties, the fee will be 1,950 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties.
In disputes regarding the dissolution of partnerships, if there are 2 parties, the fee will be 900 lira per hour per party; if there are 3-5 parties, the fee will be 2,000 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties; if there are 6-10 parties, the fee will be 2,100 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties; and if there are 11 or more parties, the fee will be 2,200 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties.
In other types of disputes that do not involve money or cannot be valued in money, if there are 2 parties, the fee will be 785 lira per hour per party; if there are 3-5 parties, the fee will be 1,650 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties; if there are 6-10 parties, the fee will be 1,750 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties; and if there are 11 or more parties, the fee will be 1,850 lira per hour regardless of the number of parties.
In legal disputes involving money or that can be valued in money, for the first 300,000 lira of the agreed amount, if one mediator is involved, the fee will be 6%, and if multiple mediators are involved, the fee will be 9%.
FEES TO BE PAID TO EXPERTS HAVE ALSO CHANGED
According to the announcement regarding the determination of expert fees for all types of expert activities conducted in judicial and administrative jurisdictions, the fees for experts to be paid to individuals will be 1,600 lira for cases and matters seen in enforcement and bankruptcy offices, as well as in civil law, consumer, enforcement law, and enforcement criminal courts.
Experts will be paid 2,700 lira for cases and matters seen in civil courts, 2,100 lira for cases and matters seen in family, labor, and cadastral courts, 3,200 lira for cases and matters seen in commercial courts and intellectual and industrial property rights courts, and 2,700 lira for cases and matters seen in administrative and tax courts.
For investigations conducted in public prosecutor's offices and matters seen in peace criminal courts, the fee will be 1,600 lira; for cases and matters seen in criminal courts, it will be 2,700 lira; for cases and matters seen in heavy criminal courts, it will be 3,200 lira; for cases and matters seen in regional courts of appeal and regional administrative courts, it will be 3,400 lira; and for cases and matters seen in the Supreme Court and Council of State as first-instance courts, the fee will be 4,200 lira.
According to the schedule, private legal entities will be paid 4,400 lira for the cases and matters mentioned above.
The announcement stated that the "2024 Expert Minimum Wage Schedule" published in the Official Gazette dated December 29, 2023, and numbered 32414, has been repealed.
The new schedules will come into effect on January 1, 2025.
