MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli harshly lashed out at those who criticize them over nationalism at his party's TBMM Group Meeting. Bahçeli said, "Those who seek a table to sit at for their political careers, those who make a meze of the sacred values of nationalism at the tables they sit at, what kind of nationalists are you, and of where?" After these words, party members in the hall stood up and applauded Bahçeli.

Responding to criticisms targeting the MHP in his speech, Bahçeli used harsh statements, arguing that nationalist values were being used for political interests.
