World Cup: Var Used As France Beat 2-1 Australia

France defeated Australia 2-1 in World Cup Group C match on Saturday afternoon in historical match as Video Assistant Referee (VAR) is used for the first time.



All of the 3 goals scored at Kazan Arena came in the second half, as VAR review handed Les Bleus a penalty kick in the 58th minute.



France's striker Antoine Griezmann made no mistake from the line to give his team the lead.

The Socceroos' experienced captain Mile Jedinak equalized the match at 1-1.



With 10 minutes to go, Paul Pogba's deflected shot narrowly crossed the line as the referee's goal-line technology once again came in handy for France.
