The Minister of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, announced on his social media account that another organized crime group has been dismantled in the "Well-16" operation. Yerlikaya stated that 15 suspects, including the ringleader, were arrested in the operation and said, "I want our dear nation to know that we will dismantle and deliver to justice any organized crime group, no matter how big. Our operations will continue with determination at dawn and at sunset." 10 UNLICENSED PISTOLS, 1 RIFLE, AND A LARGE NUMBER OF AMMUNITION WERE FOUNDYerlikaya stated that the operation was carried out by the Elazig Police Department under the coordination of the Elazig Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security's Organized Crime Branch. He added: "It was determined that the suspects, who are members of the organized crime group, committed crimes such as establishing an organization to commit crimes, robbery, threats, attempted murder, property damage, endangering public safety, incitement to crime, taking responsibility for a crime, aiding the escape of convicts and detainees, violation of Law No. 6136, and drug trafficking. As a result of the operations, 10 unlicensed pistols, 1 rifle, and a large number of ammunition were seized.
