On the 19th day of her disappearance in Diyarbakır, the second hearing of the murder case of Narin Güran (8), whose lifeless body was found in a sack in the riverbed, continues on its third day. Mother Yüksel Güran is making her final defense at the defendant's stand.
"THEY DIDN'T LET ME DRESS MY DAUGHTER IN A SHROUD"
Yüksel Güran, who described the last day she spent with Narin in detail, said, "All the children were sleeping on the roof. It was my happiest day. I picked tomatoes from the garden. I prepared a very nice breakfast. I was so happy with my children around me. She went to Arif Batman's place. Narin asked me for a hairpin. She wanted a wedding dress because there was a wedding. She hugged me and her older brother (Enes). What did they want that day? They didn't let me dress my daughter in a shroud. I didn't even see her grave."
"I CRY WHEN POTATOES COME TO THE PRISON"
Expressing that she gave her daughter a bath for the last time that day, mother Güran said, "She asked me for potatoes. I cry when potatoes come to me in prison. I sent my daughter to Quran classes and I never saw Narin again. I swear she never came home again. I swear no one came to my house. I have been married for 22 years, we never had a fight. I raised eight children in poverty. No one witnessed any of our fights. What happened that day that I would harm my daughter?" she said.
