In the 10th week of the Trendyol Super League, Yunus Akgün, who plays for Galatasaray, will host Beşiktaş and has been referred to the PFDK before the big derby.

REASON: INSULTING POST

The statement made by the TFF is as follows;

"Galatasaray Club football player Yunus Akgün has been referred to the PFDK with a precautionary measure starting from 22.10.2024 due to the 'insult' in his post on social media (Instagram) after the match against Antalyaspor, in accordance with Article 41 of the Football Disciplinary Regulation."

WHAT HAPPENED?

After Galatasaray's 3-0 victory over Antalyaspor in the 9th week of the Super League, Yunus Akgün made a striking post on his social media account. The star player shared his goal celebration with his teammates, and it was claimed that the music playing in the background contained lyrics directed towards Beşiktaş. Additionally, it was alleged that the black-and-white team would file a complaint against Yunus to the TFF on the day of the PFDK referrals, October 22 (today).
