The Sinop Governorship announced that 113 female students from the KYK dormitory were hospitalized due to suspected poisoning. It was reported that the students, who received outpatient treatment, have been discharged. The governorship has launched an investigation into the matter.
In a written statement from the Sinop Governorship, it was noted that there was a suspicion of poisoning at the Central KYK Girls' Dormitory, which is affiliated with the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK).
113 STUDENTS HOSPITALIZED
It was reported that 113 students presented to the emergency department of Sinop Atatürk State Hospital with complaints of nausea, abdominal pain, mild fever, and vomiting. The statement included, "All of our students who presented to the hospital with a suspicion of poisoning and received outpatient treatment have been discharged. An administrative and judicial investigation has been initiated regarding the matter, and the collected water and food samples have been sent to the laboratory for necessary examinations."
