Fatma Y., who lives in a three-story apartment in Manisa, went to work in the morning after leaving her baby with the caregiver Gülsüm S. on the upper floor. The baby, who stayed at the caregiver's house overnight, was found motionless and dead in the morning. The mother and the caregiver were taken to the police station to give their statements.
Three-month-old Şirin Alya Y., who was staying at the home of caregiver Gülsüm S. in the Turgutlu district of Manisa, was found dead in the morning hours.
The incident occurred in a three-story apartment on Ünal Street in the Altay neighborhood. Fatma Y. left her baby with the caregiver Gülsüm S. who lives on the upper floor and went to work yesterday morning. It was reported that after returning from work, the baby slept at Fatma Y.'s home where the caregiver was staying. Şirin Alya Y. was fed with formula by her caregiver yesterday evening. It was learned that when the caregiver wanted to give the baby formula again during the night, the baby had vomited and was found motionless this morning.
MOTHER AND CAREGIVER TO GIVE STATEMENTS
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. During the examination by the health teams, it was determined that the baby had lost her life. The lifeless body of the baby was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy. Mother Fatma Y. and caregiver Gülsüm S. were taken to the police station to give their statements.
While an investigation has been initiated regarding the incident, the exact cause of death of the baby will be determined after the autopsy.
