Following the passing of the renowned artist Volkan Konak, which left Turkey in mourning, it has come to light that he had been providing scholarships to needy students for many years. It was revealed that Konak regularly supported 50 children from his hometown who were in financial difficulty and had lost their fathers.
The artist known by the nickname "Son of the North" passed away at the age of 58 after collapsing during a concert he gave in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at midnight, despite attempts to intervene. The moments he collapsed on stage broke everyone's hearts, while the TRNC police announced that an investigation had been launched regarding Konak's death on stage. It was reported that the exact cause of Konak's death would be determined through further examinations.

The passing of Volkan Konak, who saddened everyone, revealed that he had been giving scholarships to students for years. Polat Yağcı stated in his post; "Our esteemed artist Volkan Konak's funeral will be held after the noon prayer at Levent Hayrettin Paşa Mosque on Tuesday, April 1, and he will be buried in his hometown Maçka."
