The son of Recep Yazıcıoğlu, known as the "Super Governor," has been found to have a listening device in the office of Tokat Mayor Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu. In the Canikli Mansion, which is used as the Tokat Municipality presidential building, a listening device was detected during security checks in the office of Mayor Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu, where he receives citizens.
SECURITY UNITS FOUND IT DURING CHECKS
According to the information obtained, the listening device found during the checks carried out by security units last night was immediately reported to judicial and security units. A judicial and technical process related to the incident was initiated in coordination with the Tokat Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Provincial Police Department's Cyber Crime Unit.
DETAILED SEARCH INITIATED
In order to conduct the investigations effectively, the Canikli Mansion was secured, and a detailed and meticulous work was carried out in the relevant areas. It was learned that the investigation is being conducted with great sensitivity by the relevant institutions.
MAYOR YAZICIOĞLU PROTESTED
After the incident, Tokat Mayor Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu made a statement to inform the public, stating that systematic disinformation and defamation efforts have been carried out against him and the Tokat Municipality since the first day they took office.

In his statement, Mayor Yazıcıoğlu emphasized that the discovery of a listening device in the office at Canikli Mansion is an unacceptable situation, saying, "This office belongs to the people of Tokat. Since the first day we took office, we have never closed our doors to our citizens. We have hosted our people without separating or dividing them."
Yazıcıoğlu, expressing that they are following in the footsteps of his late father Recep Yazıcıoğlu, stated that social media attacks, slanders, listening activities, and cyber attacks will never weaken their determination to serve Tokat. He noted that after the detection of the listening device, the crime scene investigation was completed and an investigation was initiated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, stating, "Whoever is behind this attack will account for it before justice."
