A woman, a mother of three, lost her life while being treated for suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) in Kayseri.

According to the information received, Ulviye Torun, who went to the Kızılören neighborhood of Pınarbaşı district to sacrifice an animal during the Eid al-Adha, was bitten by a tick.

SHE REMOVED THE TICK THAT ATTACHED TO HER BODY HERSELF

Torun, who removed the tick that had attached to her body herself, applied to the hospital in the district after feeling unwell for a while. After her condition worsened, she was transferred to Kayseri City Hospital, but despite intervention, she could not be saved. On June 12, İlknur Ekinci, a 39-year-old mother of three, also lost her life while being treated for suspected CCHF in the Kızılören neighborhood.
