A brutal incident occurred around 1:00 PM on 2246 Street in the Democracy Neighborhood of Melikgazi district in Kayseri.

A dispute arose between police officer S.U. (35) and his mother-in-law M.M. (60) over inheritance in the country house. As the argument quickly escalated into a fight, S.U. shot and killed his mother-in-law M.M. and then attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head with the same gun. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification.
