The minibus, driven by Nurettin Kocabaş, which was transporting workers from a factory in İzmir to Turgutlu, crashed into a parked truck loaded with wheat by the roadside near the Çepnidere Junction on the İzmir-Ankara highway.

Upon notification, a large number of health, police, and fire teams were dispatched to the accident site. In the accident, 20 people in the worker service vehicle were injured. The driver Kocabaş, who was trapped in the vehicle, along with 5 others, was rescued by fire teams and handed over to health teams. It was learned that 5 of the injured, who were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances, are in serious condition.
