The incident occurred in front of a private hospital located on Tevfik İleri Street in the Yamanevler neighborhood. It is claimed that an assailant, who had been waiting in front of the hospital where Dilan Polat was receiving treatment throughout the day, began to follow Dilan Polat's bodyguard, Alper Ş. The suspect, who kept Alper Ş. occupied on the phone for a while, fired 7 shots as Alper Ş. was about to get into his car and then fled.

3 of the bullets hit Alper Ş.'s body. The injured bodyguard was treated at Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital. Police teams conducting a crime scene investigation in the area have launched an operation to capture the assailant. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.

Engin Polat, the husband of Dilan Polat, came to the hospital where Alper Ş., who was injured in the attack, was being treated to get information about the injured person's condition.
