The clashes, which began with Israel's attacks on Iran, continue on their 9th day. While diplomatic traffic has also accelerated, mutual attacks are ongoing.
ISRAEL'S ATTACK ON CRITICAL CITIES
According to reports in Iranian media, Israel simultaneously attacked the barracks and headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps located in the city of Ahvaz and the Mahshahr Port in the southwestern province of Khuzestan. Following the attack, it was observed that air defense systems were activated and thick smoke was rising.
Ahvaz, located near the Iraqi border, is the capital of Khuzestan province, which is Iran's main oil-producing region.
ISRAEL STRIKES NUCLEAR FACILITY IN ISFAHAN
The Iranian media also announced that Israeli forces targeted the nuclear facility in Isfahan early in the morning. According to reports, no nuclear leakage was detected at the facility.
IRAN'S DRONES OVERCOME IRON DOME
Meanwhile, Iranian attacks continued throughout the day. Israeli media reported that a building in the city of Beit She'an in northern Israel was hit by a drone attack. While there were no casualties or injuries in the attack, it was noted that an Iranian Shahed-136 drone successfully managed to overcome Israel's Iron Dome air defense system for the first time.
REVOLUTIONARY GUARDS COMMANDER AND PALESTINIAN LEADER KILLED
Another development was announced by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz. Katz claimed that in the Israeli army's attack in the Iranian city of Qom, the leader of the Palestinian Unity, Saeed Izadi, from the Revolutionary Guards Quds Force was killed. Israel also stated that in the airstrike carried out on Friday (yesterday), the commander of the Second Drone Brigade of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, Amin Pur Judaki, was also killed.
NINE PEOPLE DETAINED IN IRAN
Iran's operations against pro-Israel individuals in the country also continued. According to Tasnim news agency, Bushehr Police Chief Haydar Suseni made a statement regarding the matter.
Suseni stated, "As a result of the follow-up and investigations, 9 individuals identified as having supported Israel by provoking the public and targeting the psychological security of society were detained." The Iranian official noted that the captured individuals were referred to the judiciary.
CALL FROM IRAN TO SURRENDER
Meanwhile, a written statement from the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council stated that "those who have been deceived by Israel and have established any connection with the Zionist regime, knowingly or unknowingly, can be exempted from punishment under Islamic amnesty if they report themselves to the competent authorities by Tir 1 (June 22)."
The statement emphasized that those who do not surrender by this date will be considered as "fifth column" collaborating with the enemy in wartime, and the heaviest penalties will be applied to these individuals on charges of espionage or military collaboration.
It was particularly emphasized that immediate action would be taken against individuals caught with drones (UAVs), communication devices, weapons, or any other military equipment.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the attacks that Israel launched against Iran on June 13, high-ranking Iranian figures were targeted. Iran also responded to Israel's attacks with counterattacks.
While Israel specifically targeted the capital Tehran and locations where nuclear facilities are located, Iran carried out attacks on critical cities such as Tel Aviv and Haifa.
The toll of the mutual clashes is becoming heavier with each passing day.
