According to the report, DRAM prices are expected to experience a rapid and sharp increase in the first quarter of 2026. This increase is noted to particularly challenge the cost planning of smartphone and laptop manufacturers.
While there are signs of recovery in the semiconductor supply chain, it is stated that balances have not yet been established on the memory side. TrendForce highlights that DRAM has become one of the fastest rising components in terms of part costs in consumer electronics. It is emphasized that rising costs could exert pressure even on companies with high profit margins.

The report assesses that even manufacturers with strong financial structures, such as Apple, could be affected by these price increases.
