The former boyfriend of 22-year-old university student Ayşe Tokyaz, who was found dead in a suitcase by the roadside in Eyüpsultan, is identified as Cemil Koç, a former police officer. It has been determined that he painted the house red to eliminate blood stains and then had the house cleaned.
In Eyüpsultan, 6 suspects, including the former boyfriend of the university student, were detained in relation to the discovery of the student's body in a suitcase by the roadside.
AYŞE TOKYAZ'S BODY FOUND IN A SUITCASE
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department went to the area following a tip-off about a body found in a suitcase by the roadside yesterday. The body found in the suitcase was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution for examination. It was determined that the body belonged to university student Ayşe Tokyaz (22).
EX-BOYFRIEND DETAINED
Police teams, deepening their investigations, determined that Tokyaz had last gone to the house of her ex-boyfriend Cemil Koç (38) in Küçükçekmece. The teams found that Tokyaz was killed in this house and placed in a suitcase, which was later discarded by the roadside in Eyüpsultan. After examining the footage recorded by security cameras, 6 suspects, including former police officer Cemil Koç, were detained.

It was revealed that suspect Cemil Koç first painted the house red to destroy the blood traces and then had the house cleaned. It was learned that the funeral of university student Ayşe Tokyaz was buried in Hatay after the completion of the procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institution.
