Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also reported that intense UAV attacks were carried out on the capital throughout the night. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 337 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to Ukraine were shot down over the Russian region during the night. In a statement noting that 337 UAVs were shot down by Russian air defense systems, it was reported that 91 of them were downed over Moscow, 126 over Kursk, 38 over Bryansk, 25 over Belgorod, 22 over Ryazan, and 10 over Kaluga regions.



FLIGHTS SUSPENDED



Russian media reported that flights were suspended at all four airports in Moscow to ensure air security following the attacks. Two other airports in the Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod regions east of Moscow were also closed.



NUMEROUS HOUSES DESTROYED AROUND THE CAPITAL



The intense UAV attack on Moscow occurred before the planned U.S.-Ukraine talks in Saudi Arabia today. On the other hand, the most intense attack by Kiev on Moscow during the three-year-long Russia-Ukraine War took place in November. At that time, it was reported that at least 34 UAVs were destroyed. One civilian was killed in the attack, and numerous houses were destroyed around the capital.
