A soldier involved in the genocide attacks carried out by the Tel Aviv administration in Gaza confessed that torture against detained civilians was being systematically conducted, stating, "Despite being innocent, they were subjected to severe torture. I saw that the detainees were forced to urinate and defecate on themselves, and that they were left without food and medical treatment."
A reserve soldier serving in the Israeli army confessed that "atrocities" were taking place against civilians detained from the Gaza Strip at the Sde Teiman Prison in southern Israel.
In an anonymously published article in Israel's Haaretz newspaper, the Israeli reserve soldier stated that civilian detainees from Gaza were subjected to systematic torture at Sde Teiman and that these violations were covered up by the media. The Israeli soldier reported that some Gazan civilians died due to "severe torture," while others underwent surgical procedures without anesthesia.
THE MAJORITY ARE CIVILIANS
The soldier, who served in the genocide attacks carried out by the Tel Aviv administration in Gaza, noted that Sde Teiman Prison has turned into a "center of death and torture." The Israeli soldier emphasized that some detainees died under extremely poor health conditions in front of the soldiers. The Israeli soldier conveyed that most of the detainees subjected to torture were not members of Hamas, but rather a large portion were civilians from Gaza who were detained solely for questioning.
“THEY WERE FORCED TO DEFECATE ON THEMSELVES”
The Israeli soldier, who stated, "Despite being innocent, they were subjected to severe torture. I saw a detainee dying before my eyes, and I witnessed that detainees were forced to urinate and defecate on themselves, and they were left without food and medical treatment," emphasized that what happened at Sde Teiman was not an exceptional case, but rather a systematic policy carried out with the knowledge of army commanders and with the help of the Israeli media.
ISRAELI ARMY RESUMES ATTACKS, VIOLATING CEASEFIRE
On the other hand, the Israeli army resumed its violent attacks on the morning of March 18, following the ceasefire that came into effect on January 19 in the Gaza Strip. Since the resumption of attacks by the Israeli army, 2,678 Palestinians, mostly elderly, women, and children, have lost their lives, and 7,308 people have been injured.
Since the attacks launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians who have lost their lives has risen to 52,787, while the number of injured has reached 119,349.
Israel, which violated the ceasefire, announced that it would act against Hamas with "increasing military force," citing the rejection of new ceasefire proposals. Hamas stated that "Israel has not kept its promises and has resumed genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip by failing to fulfill its responsibilities in front of the eyes of the mediating countries."
The initiation of Israel's attacks on Gaza drew attention as it coincided with controversial political moves, such as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's dismissal of the head of the internal intelligence agency Shin Bet.
