SINCAN RESIDENTS FILLING WATER WITH CANS FROM FOUNTAINS
As part of the efforts to increase the supply at the water intake structure in the Çamlıdere Dam, there have been low pressure and occasional water cuts in the district. Affected citizens are trying to meet their water needs from the spring water fountains located at different points in the district.
Cihat Karayel, one of the citizens filling water at the fountain with bottles and cans, stated that they entered the new year without water, saying, "Not having water is a very bad thing. You can't even drink tea, and worst of all, you can't even take care of your personal hygiene."
"AT LEAST GIVE US A NOTICE"
Karayel claimed that the recent water cuts have not been announced, stating, "We shouldn't have to fill water in this cold. My wife and child are currently waiting at home; I came here to fill water with my mother instead of sitting comfortably at home. At least give us a notice. People can take precautions accordingly at home. You go to bed at night, there is water. You wake up in the morning, there is no water."
