CLAIM OF CLASH AT POLICE STATION According to the report by the Iran-based Fars News Agency, it was reported that around 6:00 PM, a group of protesters entered the police station in Azna, leading to clashes between the parties. The report stated that stones were thrown at police teams during the events, and some police vehicles were set on fire.
30 PEOPLE DETAINED IN MELERD It was announced that 30 people were detained during the protests held in the city of Melerd, located in Tehran province. Melerd Deputy Governor Mansur Saleki stated that these individuals were detained for abusing their legal right to protest and disrupting security and public order.
STATEMENT: "THERE ARE ALSO PEOPLE COMING FROM OUTSIDE" Saleki noted that some of those detained were found to have come to Melerd from surrounding districts, stating that the suspects were under the supervision of security units and that the judicial process was ongoing. He also reported that other individuals identified as being connected to the events were detected, and efforts to apprehend them were continuing.
Iranian President Pezeshkian, addressing members of parliament, accused the established order of failing to solve the economic problems of the people.
