According to a joint press release from the Tübingen Prosecutor's Office and the Reutlingen Police Department, a person shot and killed four family members before committing suicide in the Reutlingen district of the city of Tübingen, located in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

The statement reported that the 63-year-old man first killed his 60-year-old sister, who lived in a different part of the district, then his two sons, aged 27 and 29, who worked at the family business, and finally returned home to murder his 57-year-old wife before taking his own life. It was also noted that the weapon used in the incident was found next to the bodies of the man and his wife.
