After the festival in Tekirdağ, rapper Emirhan Çakal, who was injured in the leg due to an armed attack, made his first statement regarding his health condition. The artist, stating "I am fine, I can walk, and my health is good," expressed his gratitude to his fans and emphasized that he wants to be remembered for his stage projects.
During the 33rd Sunflower Festival held in the Hayrabolu district of Tekirdağ, rapper Emirhan Çakal, who performed on stage, was injured in the leg due to a gun attack after the concert.
After receiving initial treatment at Hayrabolu State Hospital, the artist was later transferred to a private hospital in Istanbul for surgery. Çakal, whose health condition was reported to be good, made a statement a few hours after the incident to ease the concerns of his fans.
"I'M FINE, I CAN WALK"
In his written statement, the artist used the following expressions: "Dear fans, greetings to everyone. First of all, I would like to thank everyone who was concerned, called, and asked. I am fine, I can walk, and my health is good. I am sorry for occupying your agenda with such an incident. As someone who has dedicated myself to stage shows, my only wish is to be in the spotlight with the work I do, the dreams I have built, and the projects I have accomplished, not with the car I drive, the clothes I wear, or silly news.
I would like you to remember me from the stages where I made you experience firsts. My only wish is to be remembered with good memories in the concerts I will give on this path and to come together in many more meetings. I want to continue this journey that started in Turkey by representing our country in the best way globally and worldwide. Always with love and respect."
ATTACKER ARRESTED
The suspect Faik Duran, who caused the pellets to hit Çakal's leg, was arrested and sent to prison by the court after his procedures at the police station. The air gun used in the incident and 67 pellets were also seized.
