Antalya Pastry Chefs Chamber President Kerim Üre (54) opened fire with a gun on his employee Elif Kılıç (32) and her friend Hasan Fırat (30), who came to visit her, as a result of a dispute that broke out at his workplace. While Kılıç and Fırat were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, Üre, who left the scene, shot himself in the head with a gun in his car shortly after and ended his life.
The incident occurred around 22:00 at a pastry shop located on 2428 Street in the Yeni Mahalle neighborhood of Kepez district. Elif Kılıç, who worked at the pastry shop owned by Antalya Pastry Chefs Chamber President Kerim Üre, started chatting with her friend Hasan Fırat at a table in the workplace. Shortly after, a dispute broke out between the two for unknown reasons. Allegedly, as the voices of the parties were raised during the argument, the owner of the workplace, Kerim Üre, came to the table. A verbal exchange occurred between Üre, who tried to calm the parties, and Hasan Fırat. Within minutes, the tension escalated into a fight. During the scuffle, Kerim Üre fired at Hasan Fırat with the gun he pulled from his waist. As Fırat collapsed to the ground, Elif Kılıç, who was trying to separate the fight, was also shot as a result of the gunfire.
INJURED CANNOT BE SAVED
As Kerim Üre distanced himself from the scene, the gunshots caused concern and fear in the surrounding area. Upon the notification of the people nearby, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. After the medical personnel provided first aid to Kılıç and Fırat, who were left on the ground in a pool of blood, the injured were taken to hospitals by ambulances. Despite the doctors' efforts, Kılıç and Fırat, whose conditions were critical, could not be saved.
FOUND DEAD IN HIS CAR
After the incident, police teams launched a large-scale search to capture Kerim Üre, who fled the scene in his car.
