The Ankara Duty Magistrate Court has decided to arrest 5 of the 14 individuals detained in the investigation regarding the "concert" related to the Metropolitan Municipality, while 9 others were released under judicial control measures.

Five people were arrested and nine were released under judicial control as part of the investigation into the concert scandal involving the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

A new development has occurred regarding those detained for the allegations that the expenses related to the concerts organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality between 2021 and 2024 caused public harm.

NUMEROUS ARREST REQUESTS

Of the 14 people detained, 5 were referred to the peace criminal court with judicial control measures after their interrogation by the prosecutor's office, while 9 suspects were referred to the peace criminal court with a request for arrest.

The Ankara Duty Peace Criminal Court decided to arrest 5 of the 14 detained individuals and to release 9 others under judicial control measures.

WHAT HAPPENED?

According to the report prepared by the Ministry of Interior's Inspectorate, the MASAK examination, the Court of Accounts examination, and expert reports, it was determined that the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality incurred a loss of 154 million 453 thousand 221.60 lira in the procurement of 32 concert services.

As part of the investigation, on September 23, 14 suspects, including former municipal bureaucrats and company officials, were detained on charges of "abuse of office" and "manipulating a tender."
