In Gaza, Edan Alexander, a U.S.-Israeli soldier held by Hamas's military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, stated that U.S. President Donald Trump has fallen victim to the lies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The military wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, released a video featuring images of Edan Alexander, a U.S.-Israeli citizen soldier held captive in Gaza.

"WHY AM I HERE AND NOT WITH MY FAMILY?"

In the video, Alexander stated that he has been held captive in Gaza for 551 days and that he has collapsed both psychologically and physically. He expressed that every day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken control of the state like a dictator, saying, "Three weeks ago, I heard that Hamas was ready to release me, that you rejected this and left me here. Why am I here and not with my family? Why am I recording the second video today?" in a tone of rebellion.

MESSAGE TO TRUMP: WHY DID YOU BECOME A VICTIM OF NETANYAHU'S LIES?

In the video he recorded, the captive soldier also addressed U.S. President Donald Trump, saying, "President Trump, I believed you would manage to get me out of here alive. Why did you become a victim of Netanyahu's lies? I have nightmares at night. Every day, I hear the voices of my mother, father, and brother. Why? Why am I not in the U.S., why am I not with my family?"

"WE THINK WE WILL RETURN HOME DEAD"

Acknowledging that he came to Israel to serve in the Golani Brigade and that he was alone at his post on October 7, Alexander said, "Our time is really running out. I feel the bombardment getting closer every day. This is really a very difficult situation. We are losing hope. We think we will return home dead."

CALL FOR CONTINUED PROTESTS

Alexander called on Israelis to "continue the protests and do everything to get us out of here."
