The new position of Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, the former AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman who handed over his duties to Abdullah Özdemir at the congress in February, has been announced. According to backstage information, Kabaktepe has joined the AK Party's Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK).
Before the 8th Ordinary Congress of the AK Party to be held today, the changes made in the cadres have become clear. Significant changes have occurred in the MKYK, one of the party's critical decision-making bodies.
KABAKTEPE JOINED AK PARTY MKYK Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, who transferred his position to Abdullah Özdemir at the Provincial Congress in February, is now on the road to Ankara. According to information circulating in the corridors, Kabaktepe has joined the AK Party MKYK.
WHO IS OSMAN NURI KABAKTEPE? Born on December 1, 1970, in Fatsa, Kabaktepe continued his education at Uludağ University Faculty of Theology after graduating from Fatsa Imam Hatip High School.
Osman Nuri Kabaktepe After completing his undergraduate education, Kabaktepe obtained a master's degree in philosophy from the same university. He held various positions in the Welfare Party and the Virtue Party, and served in the Saadet Party's Istanbul Provincial Administration as well as being a member of the General Administrative Board.
Kabaktepe ran as the Saadet Party's candidate for the mayor of Fatsa in the 2004 Local Government Elections.
In previous years, Kabaktepe also served as the President of the Youth Branch of the Saadet Party. He was a member of the audit board of the Ilim Yayma Society and a member of the High Advisory Board of the Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA). He also held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cihannüma Solidarity and Cooperation Platform Association for a period. Elected as the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman in the congress of 2021, Kabaktepe transferred his position to Abdullah Özdemir at the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress in February.
