The incident occurred in the Balıkyolu neighborhood of Esenyurt on Saturday, April 26, around 12:40 PM. During a fight on the street, Seyit Ahmet Şanver (22) was shot and seriously injured. Police teams detained C.T. (48), who was identified as being involved in the fight, and took his statement. C.T. stated that he was a taxi driver and had taken the suspect Y.M.B. to the address he requested one day before, during which the suspect forgot an item in the vehicle. C.T. explained that when the suspect called him later asking to bring the forgotten item, he replied, "I have work. I will bring it later," which led to an argument between them. C.T. recounted that on the day of the incident, the suspect came to him while he was sitting in a café, and a fight broke out between them. He learned that C.T. said, "While we were struggling, suddenly the gun in his hand went off. At that moment, a person on the sidewalk fell to the ground." C.T., who was taken to the courthouse by police teams from the Esenyurt District Police Department, was arrested and sent to prison.
23 KILOGRAMS OF DRUGS SEIZED AT HOME Operations were carried out by the Homicide Bureau teams to capture the fugitive suspect Y.M.B. Police teams conducted an operation at the house identified as the suspect's in the Süleymaniye neighborhood of Esenyurt. While no one was found in the house, a search revealed a total of 23 kilograms and 929 grams of marijuana in 22 packages inside two large duffel bags. In ongoing operations, the fugitive suspect Y.M.B. was captured and taken into custody.
HE CONFESSED HIS CRIME AND SAID, "I SHOT BY MISTAKE" It was determined that the suspect Y.M.B., brought to the Homicide Bureau by the Public Order Branch, had 21 previous criminal records. It was learned that the suspect confessed to his crime during his police interrogation, stating that his actual target was C.T., but he accidentally shot a person he did not know. After the police completed the procedures, the suspect was arrested and sent to prison after being brought to the courthouse.
