Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere, who was detained as part of the corruption investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), has been released under judicial control with the condition of not leaving his residence.
As part of the 'corruption' investigation conducted against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), 13 people, including Adana Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar and Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere, who were detained, were brought to Istanbul for questioning.
TRANSFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE THIS MORNING
After completing their procedures at the police station, the suspects were subjected to a health check at Bayrampaşa State Hospital this morning. Following the health check, the 13 suspects were transferred to the courthouse under extensive security measures taken by riot police.
JUDICIAL CONTROL FOR TUTDERE
A judicial control decision in the form of house arrest was issued for Adıyaman Metropolitan Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere.
INVESTIGATION
The corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is part of three separate investigations related to the criminal organization allegedly led by Aziz İhsan Aktaş and the Büyükçekmece Municipality. In this context, Adana Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar, Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere, Adıyaman Deputy Mayor Ceyhan Kayhan, Büyükçekmece Deputy Mayor Ahmet Şahin, Şahin's driver Sonkan Turan, businessmen Hayrettin Mermer, Burak Kangal, Rabil Artan, and Kazım Gökhan Yankılıç, lawyer Onur Büyükhatipoğlu, and former Seyhan Municipality Cleaning Affairs Director Özcan Zenger, along with Ahmet Murat Mermer and İbrahim Emre Mermer, were detained.
INVESTIGATION INTO AZİZ İHSAN AKTAŞ'S CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION
In the investigation into Aziz İhsan Aktaş's criminal organization, after he provided a statement of effective remorse, the testimonies of witnesses working in companies owned by Aktaş and the documents submitted by some detained suspects were examined.
It was determined that the suspect, Adıyaman Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere, demanded unjust financial benefits from the executives of companies doing business with the municipality and that money was given to Deputy Mayor Ceyhan Kayhan on different dates upon directing individuals to him.
