On April 5th, a chilling incident occurred in the courtyard of the Industrial Vocational High School in Edirne. The details of the statement given by the 15-year-old suspect, E.A., a barber who killed 15-year-old Gülden Coni with 30 knife stabs, emerged during the trial held at the Edirne 3rd High Criminal Court in recent weeks.
"I STABBED 30 TIMES IN 30 SECONDS"
The presiding judge asked the detained suspect how many minutes it took to deliver the 30 knife stabs. The suspect, E.A., replied, "It lasted 30 seconds." When the judge repeated the question, asking, "Did you stab 30 times in 30 seconds?" the suspect defended himself by saying, "I lost my mind, I don't remember."
"YOU'RE NOT A BUTCHER, YOU'RE A BARBER"
After the questions from the lawyer of the murdered Gülden Coni, the presiding judge asked the suspect another question. In response to the judge's question, "How did you stab 30 times in 30 seconds? They say you're not a butcher, you're a barber," the suspect once again replied, "I lost my mind."
The second session of the trial will be held in the coming days.
