Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's senior advisor, Ali Akbar Velayati, stated that they would participate in negotiations with the United States unconditionally, but the condition of halting uranium enrichment would not be accepted.

The chief advisor to Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ali Akbar Velayati, stated that they are not opposed to negotiations with the U.S. without preconditions and that they will not sit at the negotiation table if the American side insists on the condition that Iran must halt its uranium enrichment activities.

According to the Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA), the chief advisor to Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ali Akbar Velayati, met with Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who was visiting the capital Tehran.

Velayati described Iran-Pakistan relations as deep, rooted, and fraternal, expressing the need to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation.

"WE HAVE NO OBJECTION TO NEGOTIATIONS BUT..."

Referring to the possibility of resuming negotiations with the U.S., Velayati said, "We have no objection to unconditional negotiations that respect Iran's red lines. They say Iran must stop enriching uranium, but this is one of our red lines, and if negotiations are tied to the condition of halting enrichment, such negotiations will definitely not take place."

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

After the end of the war between Israel and Iran, it became a matter of curiosity whether U.S. and Iranian nuclear negotiations would continue. Iran had announced that it was open to talks but would not engage in a process that would prevent its uranium enrichment.
