Cengiz Er, the cousin of President Erdoğan, made a notable post regarding the definitive expulsion process initiated against Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu. Er described the simultaneous sharing of interviews by some journalists about Işıksu as "simultaneous resistance" and stated that the process would become clear in court.
Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu was referred to disciplinary action by the Justice and Development Party with a request for his expulsion following allegations of having a relationship with the municipality's private secretary, E.S.
"INTERNAL PARTY PLOT" ALLEGATION
In a statement regarding the accusations against him, Işıksu claimed that the allegations were fabricated from within the party. Describing the events as a "perception operation," Işıksu argued that the accusations lacked concrete evidence. He stated that he only resorted to legal means in the face of threats and attempts at blackmail directed at him.
SUPPORT SHARES ATTRACTED ATTENTION
While the disciplinary process continues, it drew attention that some journalists shared Işıksu's interview sourced from Demirören News Agency consecutively on their social media accounts.
CENGİZ ER: THEY WON'T HANG THE MAYOR IMMEDIATELY
Following these shares, Cengiz Er, President Erdoğan's cousin, also commented on the issue. Quoting the journalists' posts, Er said, "The AK Party Headquarters has initiated the expulsion process for Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu, who is the subject of forbidden love allegations, but it seems that the local journalists have started a simultaneous resistance. Don't worry, friends, the matter is already in court. They won't hang the mayor immediately. They will definitely listen to both sides. The truth will come to light," he said.

In a petition submitted to the Parliament by 22-year-old law student Ceyda Saçar, the following statements were included: "I am the daughter of Elif Saçar, who works in the private office of Adapazarı Municipality. I have a six-month correspondence between my mother and Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu, as well as a photo sent to my mother by Mutlu Işıksu around 02:50 at night. While the correspondences are obscene, there are also correspondences related to the municipality's internal affairs. He claimed that I was doing this and that I was schizophrenic. The mayor also filed a lawsuit against me with the allegation of blackmail. My aunts have known about the incident from the very beginning. They were helping my mother meet with Mutlu Işıksu. My aunt had been hired at the municipality during this process."
